IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator
Command a 5,000-ton dieselpunk artillery fortress in alternate-history 1920s Spain. You never see the battlefield — you read teleprinter orders, triangulate coordinates on a paper map, crank the hydraulics, and fire blind. Every lever, dial and shell is yours to manage.

Your IRON NEST Journey
- 1
Beginner Guide
From your first teleprinter order to your first hit: cockpit layout, station routine, and the standard sequence for a single fire mission.
- 2
Triangulation & Firing Solutions
How two observer bearings cross into a target coordinate, and how that becomes bearing, elevation and charge. The wall most operators hit in their first two hours.
- 3
Counter-Battery Survival
What to do when enemy fire direction centres start ranging on you: pre-computed fire plans, bearing-sorted target batches, and using each FDC kill as a working pause.
- 4
Firing Solution Calculator
Cross two observer bearings, then re-measure from the nest. Shows exactly how far off a shot lands if you copy the observer's bearing straight onto the gun.
What is IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator?
IRON NEST is a first-person heavy-artillery simulator that locks you inside a 5,000-ton dieselpunk mobile gun platform. It is not an action game — you cannot see outside the nest, and you fight using teleprinter tape, a paper map, a protractor and a wall of gauges.
Receiving High Command's orders, plotting targets by triangulation, computing firing solutions, hand-loading more than thirty shell types, repairing hydraulic lines and answering enemy counter-battery fire are all done by you. Set in alternate-history 1920s Spain, with fifteen operational regions, over a hundred medals and procedurally generated objectives for near-endless replayability.

Frequently asked
Is IRON NEST multiplayer?
No — IRON NEST is single-player by design, and stays that way. The developers' Steam replies are consistent: official co-op is the core of their next, separate game, targeting around 2027. Today, a community mod adds five-player co-op over Steam.
Do I need to be good at maths?
You need to be careful, not fast. Every calculation is arithmetic you could do on paper; the difficulty is transcription discipline under a clock, which the triangulation drill covers.
Will the free demo teach me the real game?
Yes. The demo runs the same fire-control loop with procedurally generated objectives, so every drill on this site can be practised before purchase.
